AFTER a long wait, Barack Obama has at last sent America's pending free-trade agreements with Colombia and Panama to Congress for ratification. The Economist's readers expect the deals to be approved: 72% of them said they thought the agreements would pass.
This week's poll concerns the "Cuban Five", a group of five spies who were caught by American authorities after infiltrating exile groups in Miami opposed to Fidel Castro. Last week René González became the first member of the group to be released, but the rest remain in jail. Do you think their lengthy sentences were fair? Let us know.

How I love divide and rule game. Just love seeing this not participating in it, Why do they do what they do and get caught? I am surprised. Linguists talk about marked and unmarked words. Unmarked are the words that are the norm, and marked words are the exception; most feminine nouns with separate endings are marked words, dating from when a woman could not be, say, a poet, only a poetess. I am reminded of this by word, disingenuous. We encounter this so much more often than ingenuous, the earlier word by some 50 years according to citations in the OED. (Disingenuous, the frequent 17th century error for disingenuous, has largely disappeared, too). Disingenuous would seem to have become the unmarked word despite the addition of the negative prefix dis-; what does that say about our interpersonal interactions today.I thank you Firozali A.Mulla DBA
History has been kind to us or in places cruelty still remains. This is fresh from USA. The NYPD has disciplined Deputy Inspector Anthony Bologna for pepper-spraying two female protesters in a notorious YouTube video seen around the world, the Daily News has learned Bologna was docked 10 vacation days for violating departmental guidelines regarding the use of pepper spray, police sources said. If he has used up his 2011 vacation, he will lose pay. The 29-year veteran makes $154,300 a year. Say we are not going to the Saddam are we? I thank you Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shinest as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

This seems like a fairly contrevorsial issue. I have noticed that many people are pumped up about this issue and believe that their jail sentence should be extended and that the release of one of these members is unjut. However, how can someone possible formulate an educated opinion when so litter information regarding this subject is available. From first glance at this article any patriotic individual would support the extention of all participants to the Cuban Five's jail time if not a more harsh punishment such as the death penalty or a similar event. We must look past the superficial to take a proper stance on this issue.
I do not think this way the polticians can go far. read on how much we have lost and how much we gained.Happy one month old to those who have conferences on the streets. They have guts if you must admit. The month-old Occupy Wall Street movement continues to grow, with nearly $300,000 in the bank and participants finding satisfaction in the widening impact they hope will counter the influence on society by those who hold the purse strings of the world's economies. The expanding occupation of land once limited to a small Manhattan park in the shadow of the rising World Trade Center complex continued through the weekend, with hundreds of thousands of people rallying around the world and numerous encampments springing up in cities large and small. For the most part, the protest action remained loosely organized and there were no specific demands, something Legba Carrefour, a participant in the Occupy D.C. protest, found comforting on Sunday. "When movements come up with specific demands, they cease to be movements and transform into political campaign rallies," said Carrefour, who works as a coat check attendant despite holding a master's degree in cultural studies. "It's compelling a lot of people to come out for their own reasons rather than the reasons that someone else has given to them." Never think of of how must it cost think what we can show. This to me is stupidity I say that. I thank you Firozali A.Mulla DBA For truth and duty it is ever the fitting time; who waits until circumstances completely favor his undertaking, will never accomplish anything.

The United States is venturing into one of Africa's bloodiest conflicts, sending about 100 U.S. troops to central Africa to support a years-long fight against a guerrilla group accused of horrific atrocities. The Obama administration said the troops will advise, not engage in combat, unless forced to defend themselves. In a letter to Congress, President Barack Obama said Friday that the troops will assist local forces in a long-running battle against the Lord's Resistance Army, considered one of Africa's most ruthless rebel groups, and help to hunt down its notorious leader, Joseph Kony. The first of the troops arrived in Uganda on Wednesday, the White House said, and others will be sent to South Sudan, the Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. While the size of the U.S. footprint is small, Obama's announcement represents a highly unusual intervention for the United States. Although some American troops are based in Djibouti and small groups of soldiers have been deployed to Somalia, the U.S. traditionally has been reluctant to commit forces to help African nations put down insurgencies. It demonstrates the Obama administration's escalating attention to and fears about security risks in Africa, including terror networks, piracy and unstable nations. The move was intended to show some engagement to lessen the impact of one of the worst protracted wars in Africa. Obama declared his decision to send troops as in keeping with the national security interests of the United States. The White House announced it in a low-key fashion, releasing the Obama notification and justification of the troop deployment that the president sent to congressional leaders. Pentagon officials said the bulk of the deployment will be of special operations troops, who will provide security and combat training to African units. The move raises the profile of U.S. involvement on the continent — and represents an apparent victory for administration officials who have argued for more robust intervention in humanitarian crises. We went to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Far East like Korea, but no we want to create the jobs that do not exist. I thank you Firozali A.Mulla DBA
