I think this Obama is right. The Demo-donkey needs to turn around and stop trying to engage the riderless elephant.

He never stopped engaging the GOP although I think he is following the Bush playbook more these days and going around the obstructions of appointees. As long as the GOP has no idea who it is or what it wants, has no policies, no plan, it's in the best interest of the country to leave the GOP to have its little civil war with the tea party and Obama ignore it and just lead.
