Both are correct. Why are Americans incapable of coming to mature and balanced positions. Making trade offs, working as a team. Why does it always have to be a black and white simplification. In most countries people can handle shades of gray and can optimise over several objectives. Is it the US education system that creates simpletons, or is it the political system that makes idiot behaviour OK?
Do you cut down your apple orchard, your only source of income, for firewood to keep from freezing to death in the winter? That is the environmental question.
