Science will move forward no matter how many countries ban something. Genetic and Stem Cell research no matter what the cost to humanity will move forward like Global Warming, the only question now is what do we do about it.

Imagine the movie Gattaca except only Western Countries have people created in the back of a car instead of in a lab for perfection, or only the wealthy can fly to another country where babies are ground up into a potion to keep them alive and healthy longer. You can not stop science. The rich of the world have been global for some time now. No such thing as a global police officer that can stop science. Just look at Iran.

"Dr Schwartz and his team coaxed embryonic stem cells to become retinal pigment epithelium—tissue which supports the rod and cone cells that actually respond to light—then injected 50,000 of them into one eye of each patient, with the hope that they would bolster the natural supply of these cells."

A clarification, Dr. Schwartz did not coax the embryonic stem cell into RPE cells (he injected the RPE cells into the patients eyes), this coaxing was done by Dr. Robert Lanza of Advanced Cell Technology.

Thanks,

Auggie
